Their Story

On a farm in South Dakota, Dixie was born to Sweet Tea and Yuri on April 18, 2016. A short week later, Dash was born to Tamara and Forest on April 26, 2016. On August 7, 2016, they both came home with us to live in Evergreen, Colorado. The hope and plan was to breed them when Dixie was old enough. Sadly, on October 17, 2017, when Dixie was only 18 months old, she and Dash escaped from the yard and unfortunately, a hit and run driver took her life. Grieving, we couldn’t conceive of getting another dog for quite some time.

Ten months later, we made the decision to purchase another female. Born to Sunspot and Smokey on May 29, 2018, she came home with us on August 8, 2018. We named her Foxy, after Gray Fox, which was the road where she was hit, and in remembrance of Dixie.

Foxy had her first litter of four in October 2019. Her second litter of five was born on November 21, 2020. We are super excited to have welcomed her second litter of six on June 13, 2021.
